·     Certified EMT-A, including hands-on experience in emergency situations; trained in basic life-support and extrications.

·     Certified Fire Apparatus Engineer; Certificate in Fire Ground Tactics and Fire Alarms and Systems.

·     Trained in fire codes and regulations for buildings and sprinkler systems, and in fire science apparatus and fire spreading in various types of buildings.

·     Knowledge of sprinkler installations and plumbing/building systems, including water connections and sewer systems.
